Non-Jewish Girlfriend

I am Jewish at birth and my family aren’t really religious, my mum is jewish which therefore makes me Jewish . I have recently started reading the Torah and have started to try and get closer to G-D, my girlfriend is Christian and as we are becoming more religious we are both realising that getting married is something that we are not able to do, I have been doing some research or messianic jewdaism, and just wanted some advice and wondered if there is anyone I could speak to directly about this as I really don’t know what to do at the moment with this situation.

A Jew is forbidden to marry a non-Jew. This has nothing to do with cultural preference or prejudice but it is explicitly forbidden by the Torah. It is one the commandments that God gave us at Mount Sinai. A Jew who marries a non-Jew transgresses a severe Torah prohibition, not to mention that intermarriage often also means the cessation of one’s Jewish lineage as the children of a non-Jewish woman are not Jewish regardless if the father is.

I strongly recommend that you save yourself the heartache and break off the relationship now.

Messianic Judaism is little more than a cult that fools people into believing that one can be both Jewish and Christian at the same time, which is of course false.

Reach out to your local orthodox rabbi and I am sure he will be happy to help you to reconnect with authentic Judaism.
